Ian Bean, a BECTa ICT in Practice award winner and former ICT teacher at Priory Woods School will be leading a series of FREE ICT training days for teachers, therapists, and support staff interested in the use of ICT to support the communication and learning needs of young people and adults with special needs. Ian will be joined by Roger Bates, former director of the Northern ACE Centre and Fil McIntyre, a specialist in using ICT for pupils with Autism. With a theme of 'The Inclusive Classroom', these free professional development days will focus on embedding the use of ICT into the wider school curriculum and feature a packed programme covering topics such as the progression of access skills: learning to make meaningful choices, expressive communication, Early Years ICT and Personalised Learning.
