African Geometric Masks
The students looked at photographs of African masks. They discussed what shape they would like their masks to be. They used the corners of boxes and paper plates as the basic shapes. The students found junk to represent the features of the faces. They used pieces of tissue and P.V.A. glue to hold them in place. The masks were painted with typical African geometric shapes and colours.
