Site Manager

                                37 hours per week, whole time
Contractual status:
    Permanent – to start as soon as possible

We are looking for a Site Manager who will take pride in how our amazing school looks and functions and will have a good range of experience including general DIY, cleaning and maintenance and will be able to communicate effectively with a range of people including pupils, parents, staff, visitors and contractors.

The role includes but is not limited to:

  • To order/assist with the ordering of equipment and materials essential for the maintenance of the premises.
  • To liaise with and direct the work of contractors working on site.
  • Specific repairs to the building and fabric of the premises where this is within the competence of the postholder.
  • Ensuring the Health and Safety requirements for the site are met in full.
  • To have the responsibility of the security of the premises.
  • To ensure the school is adequately heated.
  • Management of a small budget for repairs and maintenance.
  • General porterage duties where required.
  • To Line manage and direct the work of other site personnel where require
  • Locking/unlocking the buildings and site, ensuring the site is accessible and safe on a daily basis,
  • Controlling access and egress of school transport,
  • Support with hydro pool maintenance,

The successful applicant will

  • ideally have worked within a school environment previously or have a strong maintenance background.
  • Ideally have experience in a trade or worked in a role involving building maintenance
  • be professional at all times, as well as friendly and enthusiastic.

Teacher - FTE 1 - Salary MPS + SEN 1

Specialist Teaching Assistant – Level 3 -  35 hours x 2

Salary:                                £18,365 - £19,490 (actual salary)
Hours:                                35 hours per week, term time only plus one week
Contractual status:    Permanent x 1 & Temporary x 1 until 31 August 2023 – To start as soon as possible.

Priory Woods School and Arts College is a large and successful school for children and young people aged 4 – 19 with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs. We currently have a vacancy for a permanent 35-hour teaching assistant and a temporary 35 hour teaching assistant.

If you are a suitably qualified, highly motivated, creative with high aspirations for all learners, we would like to hear from you.

The successful applicant must have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A good understanding of special educational needs
  • Understanding of child development and learning processes
  • The ability to work with learners from four to nineteen and with a range of abilities

Priory Woods School and Arts College is a large and successful school for children and young people aged 4 – 19 with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs.

We currently have a vacancy for two 7.5 hour Lunchtime Assistant posts. Duties include helping pupils with eating and supporting them in the dining hall and in the playground.
